This park is frequently used for bird watching, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking, windsurfing, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing and during certain times of the year, hunting. There are many trails at this park for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. Pets must be leashed at all times, except at the Wetlands during hunting season. The park is located off U.S. 395, 10 miles north of Carson City and 15 miles south of Reno.
