This 4 mile moderate rated trail is used by both hikers and equestrians. Bicycling is prohibited. Take the Pacific Crest Trail one mile to the ridge, which offers great views and a wildflower display around mid-summer. Hike another three miles to Meiss Lake. The trailhead is located on the north side of Highway 88, immediately west of the Carson Pass Information Center. There is a parking fee. Pets must be leashed and please clean up after them.
