Del Valle Regional Park

Del Valle Regional Park Del Valle Road Livermore, California
510-562-PARK
Map
This park is over 3,997 acres of land and it includes a five mile long lake. The park is in a valley surrounded by oak-covered hills. Miles of trails surround the lake. If you would rather view the scenery from the water, you and your dog can rent a patio boat at the Marina Boat Rentals (see Attractions). Dogs must be on leash in the parking areas, picnic areas, lawns and developed areas. Your dog can run off-leash in other areas and on trails, just make sure they are under voice control and you must carry a leash. Your dog should be under voice control around bicyclists and equestrians - this has been the biggest area of conflict for unleashed dogs. Dogs are not allowed at swimming pools or swim beaches. But with a 5 mile long lake, you should be able to find a non-swim beach where your dog can play in the water. To get there from Hwy 580 heading east, exit S. Vasco Road. Turn right onto Vasco and head south. When Vasco ends, turn right onto Tesla Rd. Then turn left onto Mines Rd. Turn right onto Del Valle Road. Follow Del Valle Rd to the park entrance.
