Welcome to the Topanga Treehouse. The name "Topanga" is an old Shoshonean word which means "To the Sky or Heaven." This charming, cozy newer cabin is nestled sky high in the cedar and sugar pine trees and has the feeling you're living amongst the treetops. Perfect for accommodating two couples or for a romantic weekend, this cute cabin offers serenity and natural forest beauty. The cabin has two bedrooms, two full baths and sits on a large upslope wooded lot that has a fenced area for your dogs to play in.

Calaveras Big Trees State Park is located only one mile from the cabin with scenic, dog friendly fireroads and endless views for hiking, biking, snowshoeing or cross country skiing.Bring your kayak or canoe and paddle the crystal clear mountain lakes including Utica, Union, Spicer and Alpine lakes. Bear Valley Ski Resort, Bear Valley Cross Country Ski Resort are 20 minutes up the hill on Highway 4.

This Non-Smoking cabin is located on a quiet, wooded cul-de-sac and is just 5 minutes from the beautiful, golden Stanislaus River. It is great place to unwind and enjoy the clean mountain air. The cabin has two bedrooms each with a bathroom. Both rooms have queen-size beds and views of the trees and forests. The living room has a comfortable queen size sofa bed as well. There is a wood burning stove to cozy up to in winter, and plenty of games and cards to play with as well as an assortment of videos for your enjoyment. The large front deck is perfect for outdoor dining in the warmer months. The cabin can accommodate off road parking for two vehicles in winter.

There are many wonderful restaurants in Arnold and Dorrington as well as Bear Valley. During the summer months, our guests are free to enjoy Big Trees Village Recreation Center, just a short walk from the cabin. The center has a children's pool and a lap pool as well as tennis courts, basketball courts, and outdoor movies in the warm summer evenings.

Well behaved dogs are welcome with a $100 pet refundable security deposit. There are endless activities for you and your pups year round. During the winter months our guests enjoy snowshoeing, cross country skiing and just playing in the snow with Fido.
