This 1.6 mile easy rated trail is located in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The trail follows the shoreline and crosses several cool, shady creeks. It also provides scenic vistas of the lake. The trailhead is located at Hirz Bay Campground which is 10 miles from Interstate 5 on Gilman Road. Dogs are allowed in the lake, but not at the designated swimming beaches. Pets must be leashed and please clean up after them.
