Washington and Old Dominion Trail
Washington and Old Dominion Trail 21293 Smiths Switch Road (office) Ashburn, Virginia
20147 703-729-0596
A Regional Park and designated a National Recreation Trail, this is one of the skinniest parks at about 100 feet across, but it is also one of the longest with a 45 mile long multi-use trail. There are several historic sites and many points of interest along the way, and the website lists a number of points of entry. Dogs are allowed throughout the park; they must be under their owner's control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times.
