This 180 acre site offers more than 2500 orchids, 70 bright colored hibiscus, and about 300 roses all amongst natural wetlands, and a shady mesquite forest. Picnic tables and a playground are also available. Dogs on leash are allowed, but do not let your dog go to the bathroom on the flowers. The gardens offer free parking and parking space available for buses and RVs. They are located on Staples Street at Oso Creek. Upon entering Corpus Christi from the north areas (San Antonio, Houston, Austin), go north on Crosstown Expressway/Texas 286 North. Continue to follow Crosstown. Make a slight left onto Crosstown/David Street. Merge onto Texas 286 South via the ramp on the left. Take the Ayers Street exit towards Texas 286 South. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto Ayers Street/Texas 286 BR South. Turn left onto Texas 358 East. Turn right onto South Staples Street/FM 2444. Follow the green signs to 8545 South Staples Street.
