Bordering the Mississippi River, two-thirds of this 13,467-acre park are forests of large oak, cypress and tupelo. The park also contains two lakes, many miles of hiking trails, and the Meeman Museum and Nature Center. Dogs must be crated, caged, on a leash, or otherwise under physical restrictive control at all times. Pets are prohibited in park inns or cabins (except where rooms and/or cabins have been designated for pets), lodges, public eating places, food stores, the buildings, on designated swimming beaches, and pools at all times. Dogs must be cleaned up after throughout the park.
