This park reopened in the Fall of 2006 with a few new interesting features such as a re-built replica of an 18th-century trading ship (The Adventure), a new visitors center--complete with a museum and archaeology lab, an interpretive trail, and an Animal Forest. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be on no more than a 6 foot leash at all times, and be cleaned up after. Pets are not allowed in buildings, the Animal Forest, and on the Adventure, however, they are allowed in most other outdoor areas while on lead. The park is open daily from 8:30 am to 5 pm.
