James Island County Park is a 643 acre nature-oriented park for family and group use, with many additional activities and facilities. There is tidal creek fishing, peddle boat and kayak rentals, paved trails for walking, biking, skating, a children's Funyard playground, a Spray Play Fountain area (seasonal), a picnic center, and an Off-Leash pet area. Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the Dog Park and at all times when outside of the designated off-leash area, and dogs must be current on rabies vaccinations and wear current tags.
