This park features some of the oldest and largest burr oak and sycamore trees in Ohio, dating back to before European settlement of the area. Dogs are allowed at the park but not on the trails except for the designated Pet Trail called the Sycamore Plains Trail. Pets must be on leash, under control and cleaned up after. This nature trail is located at 2009 Amity Road, about 1 mile north of Roberts Road. To get to the trailhead from I-270, take I-70 west to Plain City-Georgesville Rd./S.R. 142 exit and go south for about .5 miles. Turn left on High Free Pike. Go about 1.2 miles to Roberts Rd. and turn left. Go about 1 mile on Roberts. Rd. to Amity Rd. and turn left. The entrance is on the left.
