This park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is Canada's largest national park and has been recognized as a critical habitat for migratory birds. The park offers a variety of interesting trails and various recreational pursuits. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after. Dogs are allowed on the trails on leash. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campground.
