This day-use park safeguards and preserves more than 12,000 years of cultural and geographical history of the ancient Pueblo of Pecos, the mission ruins and trails of the area, the Forked Lighting Ranch, and the site of the Civil War Battle of Glorieta Pass. Some of the amenities here include a 1-1/4 mile hiking trail, picnic areas, restrooms, and a museum. Dogs are allowed at the park for no additional fee. Dogs are allowed on the trails and around the park, but not in park buildings. Dogs must be leashed, and please clean up after your pet.
