Registered as a National Historic Site, this park recreates the living history of the lives of the Northern Plains Indians, and they offer self-guided walking tours, 11 miles of hiking trails, and a variety of plant and animal life. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be on no more than a 6 foot leash, and cleaned up after. Dogs are not allowed in any of the buildings. The park is open year round from dawn to sunset.
