This 50+ mile trail is a great way to experience all this cosmopolitan city has to offer. Along the way visitors will pass historic sites and homes, major shopping areas, stunning river scenery with falls, a stone arc bridge and dam, various geological wonders of the Mississippi River, an abundance of recreational and entertainment opportunities, gardens, parks, an interpretive center and a lot more. There are several entrances to the byway around the city. Dogs are allowed on the trail; they must be leashed and under their owner's control and care at all times.
