This riverfront plaza is a large concrete expanse that stretches from Jefferson Avenue to the Detroit River, and it is the centerpiece for downtown happenings with numerous special events and festivals through the year, several amphitheaters, an ice skating rink (in winter), and a favorite is the unusual Japanese-inspired spire and fountain. Dogs are welcome to come and explore the area and riverfront. Dogs must be well mannered, under their owner's control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times.
