In addition to being a retired vet's center, this was once a base to protect pioneers from 1865 to 1882, and there are Civil War historic sites to explore here. Visitors are welcome to take tours, or to walk or drive through the grounds. Dogs must be well behaved, leashed, and under their owner's control at all times. Dogs are not allowed in buildings.
