Although this is the country's primary laboratory for particle physics with a variety of educational opportunities, there are also a number of recreational activities, special events, buffalo viewing, art and cultural gatherings, and acres of prairie and trials to explore as well. Dogs are allowed on the grounds and the trails; they are not allowed in buildings. Dogs must be leashed unless in the specified dog training area; they must be under their owner's control and cleaned up after at all times.
