Sam Kee Building
Sam Kee Building Pender Street Vancouver, British Columbia
Map
Visit the second largest Chinatown in North American and take a look at the Sam Kee Building. This building is the world's thinnest office building according to the Guinness Book of World Records. The two-story building was built in 1913 and is only 6 feet wide. The back of the building is right next to another building and it visually looks like it is part of the other building. But look closely and you will see that is it actually only 6 feet wide. The second floor has an overhang that the owner added in order to increase office space. At one time this building housed thirteen little businesses. Today the building is still used for office space. It is located in Chinatown at the corner of Pender and Carrall Streets.
