This park has unique ecological and geological features, and it is home to 2 popular trails, the ancient Giant Cedars hiking trail, and birders are drawn to the jungle-like wetland of the Skunk Cabbage trail. The parkway is open and staffed from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., from mid-June to the August long weekend. In August, the parkway hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. In May and early June, and in September and early October, the parkway hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after. Dogs are allowed on the trails.
